The legendary Filipino boxer faced Mario Barrios in a fight for the World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight title. The fight, highly anticipated by boxing fans, ended in a majority draw. The judges ruled a 115-113 in favor of Barrios and two scorecards of 114-114, resulting in the champion retaining the title. Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs), known for being the only world champion in eight different divisions and a Hall of Famer, demonstrated his skill and technique throughout much of the fight. However, physical wear and tear became evident in the final rounds, allowing Barrios (29-2-2, 18 KOs) to finish strong and convince the judges.
