Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi – Lando Norris, the prominent British McLaren driver and current leader of the Formula One World Championship, reaffirmed his dominance in the second free practice session of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This competition marks the final race of the season.Norris surpassed Max Verstappen, the experienced Dutch driver from Red Bull and four-time world champion, who is in second place in the general classification, just twelve points behind the leader.In his fastest lap, Norris completed the 5,281 meters of the Yas Marina circuit with a time of 1:23.083, beating Verstappen by 363 thousandths.George Russell, from Mercedes, placed third, 379 thousandths of a second behind the leader, all using soft tires.Oscar Piastri, the Australian McLaren driver, who is in third place in the fight for the championship, finished the session in eleventh position, 680 thousandths of a second behind his teammate.Piastri did not participate in the first free practice session, but rejoined the track in the second session to fine-tune his preparation for the crucial weekend.With times so tight and the championship still in dispute between the two McLaren drivers and the reigning champion, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix anticipates a decisive qualifying session and a final race full of emotion this Sunday.
