Lando Norris Wins the Austrian Grand Prix

British driver Lando Norris, representing McLaren, won the Austrian Grand Prix, the eleventh race of the Formula One World Championship, held this Sunday at the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg, in the Styria region.

Norris, 25, added his seventh victory in Formula 1 and the third so far this season. He surpassed his teammate, the Australian Oscar Piastri, who managed to maintain the lead in the world championship, and the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), who finished in third position.

Spaniard Carlos Sainz (Williams) was unable to participate in the competition due to a mechanical problem in his FW47, which forced him to retire before the start. This delayed the start of the race, in which the Spanish two-time world champion, Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin), obtained seventh place.
