Adam Silver Confirms New Format for the 2026 All-Star Game

The NBA commissioner, Adam Silver, announced that the 2026 All-Star Game will feature “some version” of a matchup between the United States and the Rest of the World. The news was revealed during his participation in the ‘Breakfast Ball’ program.

What better time to organize some version of United States against Rest of the World. I still don’t know what format it will be.

Adam Silver, NBA Commissioner

The NBA seeks to revitalize the All-Star Game, which has experienced a decline in its competitiveness in recent seasons. Silver highlighted the success of last summer’s Olympic games, such as the match between the United States and Serbia, as inspiration.

Silver also mentioned that the league is paying attention to the format implemented by the NHL in its recent All-Star game, a tournament between four teams that included the United States, Finland, Sweden, and Canada.

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game will be held in Los Angeles on February 15, 2026.

Pacers’ Trip Delayed Due to Tornado Warning

The Indiana Pacers experienced a delay in their trip to Oklahoma City, host of the first two games of the NBA Finals against the Thunder, due to a tornado alert.

The flight had to land in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Finally, the Pacers arrived in Oklahoma City more than three hours late after taking a second flight from Tulsa.

The team stayed in Tulsa for just over 40 minutes. The Pacers, already in Oklahoma City, will participate this Wednesday in media day prior to the start of the Finals.
