Santo Domingo – Ismael Munguía became the hero of the day by hitting a single with the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh inning, driving in two runs that sealed the victory of the Estrellas Orientales over the Tigres del Licey with a score of 4-2. This exciting game was the first of the doubleheader held this Tuesday at the Tetelo Vargas Stadium, corresponding to the 2025-2026 LIDOM championship.With this triumph, the Estrellas improved their record to 19-25, climbing to fourth place in the standings, tied with the Leones del Escogido, in a close battle for a place in the postseason.

Gregory Santos (1-0) earned the victory from the mound, while Enyel de los Santos (0-1) took the loss. Patrick Weigel secured the win by earning his fourth save of the season, pitching a perfect one and one-third innings, including four strikeouts.
