Monte Plata Crowned Champion in the AA Baseball Cup
Sabana Grande de Boyá, Monte Plata – The representative team of the municipality of Monte Plata won the first edition of the AA Baseball Cup, held at the Berto Castillo Play in Sabana Grande de Boyá. The tournament, organized by deputy Jhon Contreras, had the support of provincial leader Víctor Pichardo. In the competition, the teams from Yamasá/Peralvillo, Monte Plata, Bayaguana, and Sabana Grande de Boyá participated, facing each other in various rounds until reaching the final. The champion team of Monte Plata was awarded a prize of RD$70,000. The runner-up, Sabana Grande de Boyá, received RD$30,000 in recognition of their participation. The game ended with a score of 5 runs to 4 in favor of Monte Plata, in a match that kept the fans on the edge of their seats.Deputy Jhon Contreras thanked the authorities and the sports community for their support, highlighting the importance of these initiatives to promote young talent and sports development in the province.
