Agonizing Tie in Moca: MOCA FC and Atlético Pantoja Share Honors
In a match full of emotions and goals, MOCA FC and Atlético Pantoja tied 2-2 in the eighth matchday of the Liguilla of the Dominican Republic Football League, played at the Moca 85 stadium.
The match, vibrant from start to finish, kept the fans on the edge of their seats with constant changes in the score.
MOCA FC took the lead in the 31st minute thanks to a collective play that culminated in a goal by Oliver Durán, after an assist from Yohan Parra. The score was 1-0 in favor of the home team.
The joy was short-lived, as Atlético Pantoja responded immediately. Carlos Sarante equalized the score in the 32nd minute, establishing a 1-1 and maintaining the intensity of the game.
Before the break, MOCA FC came close to scoring, but a powerful shot by Jhonny Parima hit the crossbar, maintaining the partial tie.
In the second half, MOCA FC went ahead again on the scoreboard. Rauly Martínez scored with a header in the 60th minute, making it 2-1 and unleashing the euphoria of the home fans.
However, in added time (90+1’), Fabricio Moreno took advantage of a loose ball to score the final 2-2, securing a point for each team.
The next challenge for MOCA FC will be on Saturday, March 7, when they face Delfines at Parque del Este, in the ninth matchday of the LDF.
