MLB: Miguel Matos leads office in DR, new director of operations
Santo Domingo – Major League Baseball (MLB) has named Miguel Matos as the new director of its office in the Dominican Republic. From this position, Matos will lead the administrative operations and development programs that the league implements in the country.Matos takes over from Nelson Tejada, who had been in charge of the position on an interim basis after the departure of Yerik Pérez last May. Previously, since 2023, Matos served as Director of International Operations.With a career spanning over 13 years in the organization, Matos began his career in 2012 as an intern in the Dominican office. Throughout his career, he has held various positions in key areas such as operations, player registration, technology acquisition, and talent development.
