MLB Honors Jackie Robinson on Special Day
This April 15th, Major League Baseball commemorates Jackie Robinson Day, an event that celebrates the 79th anniversary of the iconic player’s debut in the Majors. This historic moment symbolized the end of racial segregation in baseball.

The Dodgers, for their part, maintain symbolic traditions, including ceremonies in honor of number 42 and meetings with Robinson’s family and representatives of the Negro Leagues Museum.
Additionally, several clubs are organizing clinics, art contests, and educational programs focused on values such as equality, perseverance, and leadership, principles that defined Robinson’s career and life.
