Anderson Mirambeaux leads Caminantes to victory

In a night full of action at the Santo Domingo Province Superior Basketball Tournament 2026, Anderson Mirambeaux shone with a stellar performance, guiding the Caminantes de Los Alcarrizos to an 89-85 victory over Caobas City. The match, which is part of the regular series of the tournament dedicated to President Luis Abinader, took place in the Las Caobas sports center. Mirambeaux, demonstrating his dominance on both sides of the court, recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds in just 27 minutes and 54 seconds of play, solidifying himself as the key figure of the match. The reinforcement counted on the offensive support of Nargenis Ulloa, who contributed 21 points and seven rebounds. Ronny Mateo also had an outstanding performance, adding 17 units and four assists. Michael Moya contributed nine points and Luis López with eight. On behalf of Caobas City, Ezequiel Pérez led the offense with 22 points and five rebounds. Juan De los Santos achieved a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Robert De Jesús contributed 12 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Yefri Brito scored nine points and Leandro Cabrera finished with eight. With this triumph, the Walkers join Caobas City and the Santo Domingo Norte Trains in a three-way tie in Group B, all with a 1-1 record, after the fourth day of the tournament. In Group A, the Calero club of Villa Duarte remains undefeated with a 2-0 record, followed by the Leñeros de Los Mina (1-1), while the Loros Calientes of Santo Domingo Este occupy the last position with 0-2. In the tournament, the Caminantes de Los Alcarrizos, the current champions, are participating; the Trenes de Santo Domingo Norte, the runners-up; the Loros Calientes de Santo Domingo Este; the Leñeros de Los Mina; Calero de Villa Duarte and Caobas City de Santo Domingo Oeste. The organizing committee is led by Ángel De la Cruz, along with William Cabral Lugo (Nemeneme), president of the Santo Domingo Basketball Association (Abasado). The technical direction of the tournament is in charge of Ramón Ceballos and Maikel Rodríguez. The event is supported by the Ministry of Sports of the Dominican Republic, headed by Minister Kelvin Cruz, as well as the company Seaboard Energía Limpia and the support of Fernando Geraldino, Social Responsibility Manager of the company.

The tournament will continue this Friday at 8:00 PM with the match between Caobas City (1-1) and Trenes de Santo Domingo Norte (1-1), at the multipurpose room of El Krom club.
