New York Mets Restructure Roster Amid Struggles
In a critical moment of the season, the New York Mets have made significant adjustments to their roster. These moves come after a series of unfavorable results and seek to strengthen the team for future encounters. One of the most notable changes is the sending of Luisangel Acuña to Triple-A Syracuse. The young Venezuelan, brother of the Atlanta Braves star, Ronald Acuña Jr., had shown promising performance at the beginning of the season, but his performance has recently declined. In addition to Acuña, right-handed reliever Tyler Zuber was also sent to the minor leagues. To reinforce the team, the Mets have added left-handed reliever Richard Lovelady on a one-year contract and have promoted outfielder Travis Jankowski from Triple-A Syracuse. The franchise seeks to carefully manage the development of its young talents while going through a negative streak of results. On the other hand, pitcher Kodai Senga is recovering satisfactorily from an injury and expects to return to the mound soon. Senga, who has had an outstanding performance this season, was recently injured but is in the process of rehabilitation. Regarding injuries, outfielder José Siri, after suffering a fracture, was moved to the 60-day injured list. It’s a difficult decision, but we believe Luisangel needs to play daily to continue growing. In Syracuse, he will have that playing time that he couldn’t get here for now.
