Marileidy Paulino Shines in Paris and Sets New Record

Dominican sprinter Marileidy Paulino continues to demonstrate her dominance on the track. This Friday, at the Charlety stadium in Paris, the athlete shattered the meeting record of the Diamond League in the 400 meters, stopping the clock at an impressive 48.81 seconds. Paulino, 28 years old, reaffirms his special connection with the city of Paris, eleven months after winning the gold medal in the 400 meters during the Olympic Games, where he also set an Olympic record with a time of 48.17 seconds. On this occasion, at the Charlety stadium, Paulino flew over the track, surpassing Bahrain’s Salwa Eid Naser by four hundredths (48.85). Chilean Martina Weil secured third place with a time of 49.83 seconds, establishing a new national record at the age of 26 and significantly improving her previous personal best of 50.39 seconds.
