Luisito Mercedes Academy Announces Independence Tournament
SANTO DOMINGO – The Luisito Mercedes Sports Academy has announced the celebration of its traditional Independence Tournament, an event that promises to bring together teams from various regions of the country. The competition, which will take place within the framework of the Month of the Fatherland, will be dedicated to the Minister of Youth, Carlos Valdez. The tournament will feature the participation of teams in the 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 year old categories, from the Cibao, the Eastern region, the South and the National District, represented by the players of the host academy.Luisito Mercedes, sports leader, reported that the provincial delegations are already holding preparation matches to arrive in optimal conditions for the tournament, which will be played during the weekend. The games will be held on the grounds of the Liga Naco, on the plays of Jardines del Norte and in other stadiums both in the capital and in the interior of the country. During the tournament, entrepreneurs and officials who have supported the national sport will be recognized. In addition, the most outstanding athletes will be awarded medals and trophies.
