Santo Domingo. The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) announced the official schedule for the 2025-2026 Fall-Winter Baseball Championship, which will begin on Wednesday, October 15th.
The season will begin with three simultaneous matches in the main squares of the country.
Inaugural Games
The opening day, scheduled for 7:30 PM, will present the following matchups:
- Leones del Escogido vs. Tigres del Licey, at Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium, Santo Domingo.
- Gigantes del Cibao vs. Águilas Cibaeñas, at Cibao Stadium, Santiago.
- Toros del Este vs. Estrellas Orientales, at Tetelo Vargas Stadium, San Pedro de Macorís.
The regular calendar will include a total of 14 free dates, not considering the three days granted by the National Federation of Professional Baseball Players (FENAPEPRO).
Special Day
A special day is scheduled for Thursday, November 6, Constitution Day, with a single game at 4:00 in the afternoon. In this match, the Águilas Cibaeñas will visit the Gigantes del Cibao at the Julián Javier Stadium in San Francisco de Macorís.
The regular season of the tournament will end on Tuesday, December 23, with two matches in Santo Domingo and Santiago, marking the end of the first stage of the championship.
