LIDOM Presents Detailed Report on the Construction of a New Stadium
Santo Domingo – The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) presented a comprehensive technical and institutional report to the Consultative Commission. This meeting took place as part of the third meeting, focused on the evaluation of the construction of a modern baseball stadium in the country.
The meeting took place at the league offices, located in the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium.
The event, led by Dr. Jorge Subero Isa, complied with the presidential mandate established through decrees 306-25 and 378-25. It was attended by Vitelio Mejía Ortiz, president of LIDOM, and the jurists Olivo Rodríguez Huertas, Angélica Noboa Pagán, Elka Scheker Mendoza and Edgar Torres Reynoso, executive director of the Commission.

Legal and institutional aspects
Mejía Ortiz presented the legal and institutional analysis, along with economic projections that included rental income, maintenance expenses, and the impact of Decree 129-11. The estimated costs for the reconstruction of the Seventh Heaven area were also presented.
In the historical section, technical director Jorge Torres Ocumárez detailed important dates, original characteristics, modifications, and international events held at the Quisqueya. In addition, he provided relevant information about the Carlos “Teo” Cruz Coliseum.
Valentín Contreras presented a visual diagnosis with images and videos that showed the current state of the stadium, from offices and dugouts to sanitary areas, billboards, and parking lots.
After the meeting, the members of the Commission toured the stadium to assess its current state. This session is a fundamental part of the information gathering and documentation process, a crucial step in defining the future of the new Quisqueya Stadium.
