LIDOM Assures the Safety of Dominican Players in Venezuela
Santo Domingo – The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) issued a statement this Saturday, informing about the situation of Dominican players currently participating in Venezuelan professional baseball. The entity has assured that all players are in good condition and properly protected. LIDOM has maintained constant and direct communication with the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), through its president, Giuseppe Palmisano. After contacting the different franchises of the Venezuelan circuit, it was confirmed that Dominican players are receiving the necessary support.The Dominican league also expressed its solidarity with the Venezuelan people in the face of the political situation the country is going through, reiterating its respect and support. From early hours, LIDOM has maintained permanent contact with the president of the LVBP and the franchise directors, with the aim of continuously monitoring the situation of Dominican players in Venezuelan territory.So far, no situation has been reported that puts the physical integrity or safety of Dominican players at risk.
