Lidom Resumes Crucial Game in La Romana
SANTO DOMINGO – The Technical Directorate of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (Lidom) has announced that the postponed game, originally scheduled for January 16, 2026, will be played this Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium in La Romana at 7:30 p.m. This match corresponds to the game annulled by Contention Resolution No. PL-002-2025-2026. This game will allow the teams to complete the 18 games of the Round Robin schedule of the Dominican professional baseball tournament 2025-2026.We abide by Lidom’s decision and the Eagles will play tonight in La Romana.

In case of a tie between both teams in the second position of the Round Robin, an additional tie-breaking match will be played, according to article 19, literal e), of the current Regulations.
If the Toros del Este win today’s game, the Final Series will begin on Wednesday. If the Águilas Cibaeñas win, a decisive game will be played on Tuesday to define the second qualifier for the final. The official statement was issued on January 19, 2026 by the Technical Directorate of Lidom.
