LIDOM Announces Selection Order for the Tano Martino 2025 Rookie Draft
The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) has revealed the official draft order for the Tano Martino 2025 Rookie Draft. This event will take place on Wednesday, September 10th at 7:00 PM in the auditorium of the Sambil Shopping Center.
Los Toros del Este will lead the selection by obtaining the first overall pick, followed by the Gigantes del Cibao and the Leones del Escogido.
In this 23rd edition of the draft, 235 prospects from the organizations of the 30 Major League teams, independent leagues, Asian baseball, and the Summer League will be available. The process will extend over 16 rounds.

Changes in Specific Rounds
Due to prior agreements between the teams, significant changes will be presented in two rounds:
- Sixth round: Los Leones del Escogido will receive the original turn of the Toros del Este, as part of the change that involved Víctor Robles for Marco Luciano.
- Ninth round: Los Tigres del Licey will obtain the first pick of the Toros, product of the change that included Ángel Perdomo for Miguel Castro.
The Tano Martino 2025 Rookie Draft will be crucial for the future of the six franchises, which will seek to add the best young talent available to strengthen their rosters. The activity will serve as a prelude to the start of the 2025-2026 Winter Baseball Championship, scheduled for October 15 and dedicated to the legendary Juan Marichal, a member of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame.
