Licey Secures Its Core for the Next LIDOM Season
The Club Atlético Licey announced the retention of a key group of players during the free agency period of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM). This strategic decision seeks to ensure the continuity and performance of the team for the next season.

Among the pitchers who will remain with the organization, the experienced right-handed starter César Valdez stands out. Alongside him, Albert Abreu, Carlos Contreras, and Elniery García return. The bullpen is strengthened by Ofreidy Gómez, Ulises Joaquín, Adonis Medina, and Wander Suero.
This group of pitchers was fundamental in the team’s performance during the previous season. Licey led the regular series in earned run average with 3.72 and in collective WHIP with 1.35. Jean Carlos Mejía, the team’s closer, led the league in saves with eight.Continuity in the Inner Frame
