Dominican Fans Divide Loyalties After Defeat in the World Baseball Classic

Santo Domingo – The recent elimination of the Dominican Republic team in the World Baseball Classic has sparked a debate among fans about which team to support for the remainder of the tournament. A tour of various sectors of the capital revealed mixed opinions. Some fans expressed their desire for Venezuela to win, arguing that the championship should remain in Latin America.

“May Venezuela win. If it were up to me, I am not Venezuelan, but I am not American either. They beat us and now I am going to support them,” said Marcos Jiménez.
