Licey Announces Pitching Rotation for Upcoming Games
SANTO DOMINGO – The Tigres del Licey have revealed their starting pitchers plan for the upcoming commitments of the 2025-26 autumn-winter baseball championship.
Right-handed pitcher César Valdez (2-0) will take the mound this Monday against the Toros del Este. The game is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the Francisco Micheli stadium.
Valdez will make his ninth start of the season, the most for Licey. In addition, he is second on the team in innings pitched, with 31.2, and is among the top five pitchers on the club in strikeouts, with 18.
On Tuesday, in the first game of a doubleheader against the Estrellas Orientales, at 4:30 in the afternoon at the Tetelo Vargas stadium, the left-handed reinforcement Garrett Davila will debut. In the second game, which will begin at 7:30 at night, the starting pitcher will be the American right-hander Cameron Gann.
The rotation will be completed on Wednesday, when the Estrellas visit the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium at 7:30 p.m. In that game, right-hander Albert Abreu is scheduled to start on the mound.
Abreu currently leads the Licey pitching staff in both innings pitched (39.1) and strikeouts, with 29.
