Leones del Escogido Remain Unstoppable in the Round Robin
La Romana – Los Leones del Escogido demonstrated their offensive power by defeating the Toros del Este with a score of 10-5 at the Francisco A. Micheli Stadium. The team, backed by a strong offense, extended their perfect streak in the Round Robin.
With an offensive that connected 14 unstoppable hits, the Lions dominated the match from the start. This victory allows them to maintain an undefeated record of 5-0, consolidating their position at the top of the table, with a significant advantage over the Bulls.
The game was defined in the first episode, when the Lions scored three runs, setting the tone of the match. The attack continued in the second episode and in the fifth, demonstrating the team’s consistency.
The Toros del Este tried to react, but the Leones maintained control of the game. Sócrates Brito stood out with a two-run home run in the eighth inning, sealing the victory.
Hansel Marcelino won, while Justin Courtney suffered the defeat.
