Lando Norris Crowned Formula 1 World Champion in Abu Dhabi

British driver Lando Norris, representing McLaren, won the Formula 1 world champion title in 2025. The exciting definition took place at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, held at the Yas Marina circuit. Norris secured the championship by finishing in third position in the last race of the season. The victory in the race went to Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who already held four world titles. Oscar Piastri, Norris’s teammate at McLaren, achieved second place, consolidating an excellent performance for the team. At 26 years old, Norris becomes the eleventh Briton to conquer a Formula 1 world championship. He surpassed Verstappen in the overall standings, finishing with 423 points, just two more than the Dutchman and thirteen above Piastri.
