La Romana Volleyball Club Crowned Champion at Rivo 2025
La Romana Voleibol Club won the championship this weekend in the seventh edition of the Romana Internacional Voleibol Open 2025 (Rivo) club tournament. The Romanian volleyball players demonstrated their superiority throughout the three days of competition, securing the championship in a tournament that featured the participation of 37 teams from Puerto Rico, Colombia, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. In addition to dominating the +18 category, La Romana Volleyball Club also won in the 9-10 and 15-16 categories. The event was organized by the La Romana Volleyball Association (Asovolaro) and has been held annually since 2017. In the men’s division, the Thunder Volleyball Club of Colombia stood out, obtaining first place in the 13-14 and 15-16 categories.The Rivo 2025 took place on the courts of the Max Simón, Virgilio Castillo (Chola) and Eleoncio Mercedes sports complex pavilions.With these events, we continue to bet on the development of Sports Tourism in our country and, especially in La Romana, a tourist, Olympic, and Sports province.
