Kobe Bryant’s ‘Grinch’ Sneakers: A $10 Million Auction Treasure
The legendary Nike Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ sneakers, worn by Kobe Bryant in the 2010 Christmas game against the Miami Heat, have been put up for auction with a starting price of $10 million. The Joopiter platform, owned by artist Pharrell Williams, is in charge of this historic sale. These sneakers, in a striking green color and scaly design, earned the nickname ‘Green Mamba’ for their resemblance to the player’s snake skin. Their debut on Christmas Day also earned them the nickname ‘Grinch’, in reference to the Christmas character.The sneakers, which bear Bryant’s signature, were displayed this week in Beverly Hills, California, along with other collector’s items from the player, attracting the attention of potential buyers. In the only game he played with these sneakers, Bryant scored 17 points. The Lakers, his team at the time, lost against the Heat, led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, with a score of 80-96 at the Staples Center (now known as Crypto.com Arena).The minimum selling price is 10 million dollars.
