Knicks One Step Away from NBA Finals After Defeating Cavaliers
CLEVELAND – The New York Knicks are one win away from playing in their first NBA Finals since 1999, after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-108 this Saturday in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
With a standout performance by Jalen Brunson, who scored 30 points, the Knicks took a 3-0 lead in the series. This difference represents a historic challenge, as no team has managed to overcome a similar score in the history of the NBA playoffs.
OG Anunoby contributed 21 points, solidifying the excellent collective moment of the Knicks, who extended their winning streak to ten consecutive victories this postseason.
The Dominican-American player Karl-Anthony Towns also played an important role with 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, excelling in offensive creation and ball movement.
From Cleveland’s side, Donovan Mitchell led the offense with 23 points, while James Harden contributed 19. However, the Cavaliers once again showed difficulties in three-point shooting, which prevented them from taking control of the game.
The fourth game of the series will take place this Monday, again in Cleveland.
