Kelvin Cruz Highlights Progress in the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games
The Minister of Sports of the Dominican Republic, Kelvin Cruz, has highlighted the progress in the preparation for the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, an event that will have the country as the main host. Cruz shared his impressions during his participation in activities related to the World Baseball Classic, expressing his satisfaction with the support of the Dominican fans and the atmosphere of unity that exists around the sport.The minister emphasized that the Dominican Republic has demonstrated its great potential, not only because of the talent of its players, but also because of the passion of its fans and the way the country unites to support the national sport. Furthermore, he revealed that, in conversations with the commissioner of Major League Baseball (MLB), the response of the Dominican public was highlighted, which could open the door to more international baseball events in the country. In this regard, Cruz indicated that conversations are underway to promote the construction of a new stadium that meets Major League and international baseball standards.“First, I want to greet you all and tell you that I am very happy to be here supporting the Dominican Republic team in this World Baseball Classic, sharing with so many capable people with a clean track record in sports reporting and information,” said the official.
