Santo Domingo – The Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, expressed his pride in the participation of the Dominican Republic in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. He highlighted the dedication and commitment of the team during the tournament. The official praised the players’ performance, as well as the work of leader Albert Pujols, general manager Nelson Cruz, and the rest of the coaching staff. He highlighted that the team represented the country with dignity on the international stage.
The minister acknowledged that, despite not achieving the expected results in this edition of the tournament, the team demonstrated passion, talent, and a high competitive level against the world baseball powers.I am very proud of the Dominican team, of its players, of its manager Albert Pujols, of its general manager Nelson Cruz, of the Dominican Baseball Federation, of the entire broadcast team for the Dominican Republic and, above all, of the Dominicans who are the best fans in the world.
