Loma de Cabrera, Dajabón – The stellar Major League player, Julio Rodríguez, led the inauguration of a renovated sports complex in his hometown, Loma de Cabrera, marking a milestone in the sports development of the border area. Rodríguez’s personal investment, which exceeded $1.3 million, transformed the sports and community infrastructure, offering the community first-class facilities.
A First-Class Sports Complex
The event was attended by family members, local authorities, and prominent professional players, including Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Luis Castillo. The main work was the remodeling of the baseball field, turning it into the first public play with artificial turf in the Dominican Republic. This project was carried out with the support of the No Limits Foundation and Green Hope foundations, linked to the baseball player, and the construction was carried out by Orlova Group.The sports complex now has:The main objective is to offer suitable and safe spaces for the sports practice of children and young people.
