Juan Soto Continues to Make MLB History
The Dominican Juan Soto continues to leave his mark on the history of Major League Baseball. This Wednesday, the player hit two home runs in the New York Mets’ 7-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves at Citi Field.
With this outstanding performance, Soto reached his 27th game with multiple home runs before turning 27, surpassing Hall of Famer Jimmie Foxx.
Soto was fundamental in the triumph, which was the Mets’ second in their last 10 games. His first home run, which was part of a five-run attack in the fourth inning, was against Colombian pitcher Didier Fuentes. The second, a solo home run in the seventh inning, secured the team’s victory.

The outfielder finished the game with a 4-2 record, including two home runs. In addition, Soto remains hot in June, accumulating 10 home runs, of which five have been in his last five games, placing him as co-leader of Major League Baseball in this period, along with Cal Raleigh and Eugenio Suárez.
Despite the initial criticism of his adaptation with the Mets, Soto continues to demonstrate why he is one of the most outstanding talents of his generation. Since his arrival in Queens, he has responded with power and consistency, solidifying his legacy as one of the most impactful hitters before the age of 27.
