Juan Soto at the Peak: Heading to the 2025 All-Star Game
Dominican outfielder Juan Soto is experiencing an offensive resurgence that positions him as a strong candidate to be a starter in the 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, to be held on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta.Despite not being selected among the three most voted gardeners in Phase 1, Soto has transformed his season remarkably. In just three weeks, he has significantly improved his batting average and his OPS, managing to hit five home runs in a span of five days. With the start of Phase 2 of the voting, his chances of representing the National League from the start have grown considerably.
In Phase 1, Soto accumulated 1,490,489 votes, placing sixth among National League outfielders. However, Phase 2 restarts the voting, allowing his current performance on the field to have a greater weight. At the start of the season, his batting average was .233 with an OPS of .799. Currently, Soto is displaying an impressive offensive line (.333/.486/.784 in his last 25 games), which has captured the attention of fans and analysts. In addition to Soto, other Mets players, such as Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso, also advanced to Phase 2. However, Soto’s recent impact makes him the main offensive asset of the New York team heading into the All-Star game.My swing, everything is going the right way. The cold is finally gone, so I can have fun now.

The Phase 2 voting will begin this Monday, June 30, and end on Wednesday, July 2. Fans can vote once a day, and the results will be announced on Wednesday. If selected, it would be Soto’s second consecutive All-Star Game start, after being the American League starter last year and a reserve between 2021 and 2023.Back then, he didn’t get too discouraged… and now he’s not too confident either. That, for me and for all of us, is truly impressive.
