The most important hit of the game was a grand slam in the fourth inning, the second of his career in the Major Leagues. This home run, hit with two outs and the count at 1-2, sent the ball 419 feet away to right-center field, with an exit velocity of 108 mph, giving the Mets a 6-3 lead.The Tigers managed to tie the game, but Soto once again made his presence felt in the sixth inning with a two-run triple, securing the definitive lead for New York.
With this outstanding performance, Soto accumulates 36 home runs this season, solidifying himself as a key player for the Mets in their attempt to secure a wild card spot in the National League.
