Dominican amateur baseball is in mourning following the death of Juan Germosén, an emblematic figure who left an indelible mark on the history of this sport. Germosén, who was 74 years old, died on Sunday in his hometown of Tamboril, Santiago province.
Germosén was recognized as one of the most outstanding players in Dominican amateur baseball, garnering the respect and admiration of fans and colleagues throughout his career.
Although he spent several years residing in the United States, Germosén chose to return to his homeland, where he finally passed away. His remains will be viewed at the José Rafael Funeral Home in Tamboril.
Germosén’s passing leaves a void in Dominican sports, which loses one of its most remembered glories.
