Cleveland – Dominican star third baseman José Ramírez has secured his long-term future with the Cleveland Guardians, after finalizing a new contract extension. This agreement, which extends for seven years and amounts to 175 million dollars, will keep him tied to the franchise until the 2032 season. The new contract is the result of a renegotiation of the previous agreement signed in April 2022. At that time, Ramírez had agreed to a five-year extension for $124 million. Of that original contract, three seasons and $69 million still remained, distributed in salaries of $21 million in 2026, $23 million in 2027, and $25 million in 2028. With this restructuring, the Guardians added four additional years to the initial bond, extending the player’s commitment until 2032 and raising the total value of the contract to $175 million. In this way, Ramírez is consolidated as a key piece in the organization’s sports project.
