José Ramírez Secures His Future with the Cleveland Guardians
Dominican third baseman José Ramírez has sealed his long-term commitment with the Cleveland Guardians, after signing a contract extension that will keep him with the franchise until the 2032 season. The agreement, for seven years and 175 million dollars, represents a significant bet on the continuity of the key player in the team. The contract establishes an annual salary of 25 million dollars. This new extension renegotiates the contract signed in April 2022, which contemplated five years and 124 million dollars. Of that agreement, three seasons remained pending, with salaries of 21 million in 2026, 23 million in 2027 and 25 million in 2028. The restructuring adds four years to the original contract, extending the relationship until 2032 and increasing the total value to $175 million.
