The Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC) has confirmed that Zapopan, Jalisco, will be the venue for the 2026 Caribbean Series. The event will be held from February 1 to 7, 2026.

The decision was made after approving the proposal of the Mexican Pacific League (LAMP), supported by the Charros de Jalisco. This choice was made after Mexico, Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic withdrew their support for the original venue in Gran Caracas, for logistical reasons unrelated to the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).

Guadalajara will once again host the Caribbean Series, repeating the 2018 experience, which consolidates it as a key point in Caribbean baseball.

The 2026 Caribbean Series will feature five teams: the champions of the leagues of Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. The incorporation of the champion team from Venezuela is expected, and Panama has been invited to complete the group.

Mexico, with this designation, reinforces its position as one of the main hosts of the tournament, having organized 17 previous editions in cities such as Hermosillo, Mazatlán, Culiacán, Mexicali and Guadalajara.

The choice of Jalisco as the venue highlights Mexico’s importance in Caribbean baseball, recognizing its sports infrastructure, the commitment of its fans, and guaranteeing the success of the event, with a positive impact on sports, social, and economic aspects.
