The iconic coffee maker used by the Italian Baseball Team during the 2026 World Baseball Classic was auctioned for the remarkable sum of $16,510, solidifying its place as one of the most unique and valuable pieces associated with the tournament. The Italian team became famous for celebrating their achievements with espresso in the dugout throughout the tournament, especially after home runs by their players, including Vinnie Pasquantino, who starred in the first three-home-run game in World Baseball Classic history. The coffee maker accompanied the team at every stage of the competition and was considered a symbol of good luck in Italy’s historic participation, which reached the semifinals. The authenticity of the machine was confirmed by its use in crucial matches of the tournament, including the victory over the United States in the group stage and the triumph against Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals. The funds raised at the auction will be allocated to the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center.
