INEFI: Teachers Strengthen School Sports with Support for Rodríguez Mella’s Management

Santo Domingo – The teaching technicians of the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) have reaffirmed their support for the administration led by Alberto Rodríguez Mella, confirming their active participation in the programs and projects that the institution develops nationwide. These efforts are focused on strengthening physical education and sports in schools.

Commitment to School Sports

The specialists, who lead crucial areas such as recreation, sports clubs, gymnastics, school sports, mass events, and the School Sports Initiation Centers (CIDE), emphasized that their technical work and on the ground has been fundamental for the continuous progress of INEFI in recent years.

INEFI’s strength lies in its people. This team supports each of our projects, from organizing national events to training thousands of students. Their support reaffirms that we are on the right track in the transformation of school sports.

Alberto Rodríguez Mella, Director of INEFIRodríguez Mella expressed his gratitude for the dedication of the staff, noting that the work of educators remains the fundamental pillar of the institution. The technicians Álvaro Samboy, Yrlanda Yesenia Méndez, Lisanny Tejada, Víctor Alexander Nova Payano, Delbin Antonio De León, Betzaida Ubri, Varani Rafael De La Rosa, Ramón Sánchez Mejía, Humber Pérez and Robert Alcántara were present at the meeting, who reiterated their commitment to the institutional mission. This technical support is an integral part of the government’s strategy to expand sports opportunities, promote inclusion, and ensure quality physical education for all students in the country. Rodríguez Mella emphasized that the organization will continue to promote initiatives to modernize school programs and consolidate a robust, inclusive sports structure oriented towards the integral development of Dominican children and youth.
