INEFI Celebrates the Month of the Homeland with Student March
SANTO DOMINGO, R.D. – In a commemorative event for the Month of the Homeland, the National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI) held a student march this Tuesday. The activity brought together more than 600 high school students from 30 educational centers in the National District. The walk, led by the entity’s CEO, Alberto Rodríguez Mella, was attended by officials and collaborators of the institution. They accompanied the students throughout the morning tour. The journey began in Parque Colón and continued along the historic El Conde street, ending at the Altar de la Patria. There, a floral offering was made in honor of the Founding Fathers.The director of INEFI emphasized that national independence is a legacy of sacrifice that must be valued by the new generations. Likewise, he urged young people to keep alive the pride of being Dominican, both inside and outside the country. This activity was integrated into the institutional program that seeks to strengthen the comprehensive training of students, merging education, civics, and sports.Rodríguez Mella highlighted the importance of fostering love for the nation and respect for national symbols, both in the classroom and through sports.
