INEFI and ADN Hand Over the Renovated Ramón del Orbe Sports Club

Santo Domingo – The National Institute of Physical Education (INEFI), in collaboration with the National District Mayor’s Office (ADN), has completed the renovation of the facilities of the Ramón del Orbe Sports and Cultural Club, located in Los Praditos.

The official delivery of the remodeled facilities was attended by the mayor of the National District, Carolina Mejía, and the executive director of INEFI, Alberto Rodríguez Mella.

This initiative responds to the request of the residents of the area, who will now have a renovated sports court and sanitary areas in optimal conditions.

Both leaders urged the community to take care of and make responsible use of the new facilities.

During her speech, Mayor Mejía emphasized the positive impact of this intervention, highlighting INEFI’s commitment to the recovery of sports and recreational spaces that promote the development of students and young people.

Rodríguez Mella expressed his satisfaction at seeing how his management has managed to revitalize a sports space that, for a long time, was neglected.

We have come to solve a social problem, offering health relief and a support tool for community leaders.

In addition, he recognized the importance of these clubs in the formation of integral citizens, beyond sporting success.

Not everyone will make it to the Major Leagues or the NBA, but through spaces like this we can instill values and form better citizens.
