INABIE Benefits Jarabacoa Students with Visual Health Day

The National Institute of Student Welfare (INABIE) carried out a visual health day in Jarabacoa, assisting 600 students from 30 schools in the municipality. The initiative, supervised by the executive director, Adolfo Pérez, included the free delivery of eyeglasses, frames, and medications for eye treatments. The activity took place over five consecutive days at the Arcadio Antonio Tiburcio Guzmán educational center, as part of INABIE’s Wellness Route. During the day, students were evaluated by specialists, who diagnosed and provided glasses and medication to those who needed it. The glasses provided are made in INABIE’s specialized laboratory.

“We aim to continue reinforcing all the comprehensive services offered to students through INABIE, during our administration,” added the public servant.

The CEO of INABIE highlighted that this day is part of the institution’s commitment to the overall well-being of students in the public education system. The official also expressed his interest in extending the services to teachers and administrative staff, depending on the available budget. The day was well-received by the director of school district 06-03, María Elizabeth Rosario; the director of the educational center Arcadio Antonio Tiburcio Guzmán, José Rafael Durán Sánchez, and mothers of students.
