Evander Holyfield and Boxing Stars Meet in Caracas

The Venezuelan capital prepares for a high-caliber boxing exhibition night, with the stellar presence of the legendary Evander Holyfield, known for his iconic confrontation with Mike Tyson. The evening will feature the participation of prominent figures such as seven-time world champion Jorge ‘El Travieso’ Arce and super featherweight world champion Emanuel ‘El Vaquero’ Navarrete.

During the weigh-in, Holyfield, who at 62 years old is the only boxer to win the heavyweight title on four different occasions, urged the boxers to give it their all in the ring.

Holyfield also recalled his participation in the Pan American Games in Caracas in 1983, where he won a silver medal. Emanuel ‘El Vaquero’ Navarrete, World Boxing Organization (WBO) super featherweight champion, expressed his gratitude for the reception in Venezuela.

Navarrete and Arce visited the San Agustín Sports Center, where they witnessed exhibition fights by young boxing prospects. The Saturday event, which will take place at the Tamanaco Hotel, will include fights such as that of Douglas González ‘La Guabina’ against Starling Martínez ‘Martines’ and Jesús Laya ‘El Rayo’ against Iván García ‘El Tsunami’.
