James Harden Enters NBA’s Top 10 All-Time Scorers

In a day full of emotions in the NBA, James Harden wrote his name in golden letters by ascending to the tenth place on the list of all-time leading scorers. This achievement was realized during the match between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Minnesota Timberwolves, where Harden surpassed the legendary Carmelo Anthony.
Harden needed 20 points to surpass the 28,289 accumulated by Anthony in his career. The shooting guard, after a first half with 19 points, scored the basket that catapulted him above “Melo” four minutes before the end of the third quarter. He finished the game with 34 points, sealing his entry into the prestigious historical club.
Currently, only two active players accompany Harden in this select group: LeBron James, historical leader, and Kevin Durant, who occupies the eighth position.
Harden’s individual feat, who is playing his 17th season in the league and was scoring champion between 2018 and 2020, places him alongside figures of the stature of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, Wilt Chamberlain and Shaquille O’Neal.
Despite Harden’s personal achievement, the Clippers suffered a defeat against the Timberwolves with a score of 109-106. A decisive three-pointer by Naz Reid, with 13 seconds remaining, secured the victory for Minnesota.
In other results of the day, Jalen Johnson shone with a triple-double in the Atlanta Hawks’ victory over the Washington Wizards.

Jalen Johnson continues his triple-double streak

Jalen Johnson led the Atlanta Hawks in their 131-116 victory over the Washington Wizards, with his second consecutive triple-double. The power forward accumulated 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists.
At 23 years old, Johnson has established himself as the team’s offensive engine, especially in the absence of Trae Young, adding four triple-doubles this season.

Anthony Davis redeems himself in Dallas’ victory

In the closing of the day, the Dallas Mavericks surprised by defeating the Houston Rockets 122-109. Anthony Davis, after a discreet night, resurfaced with 29 points.
Cooper Flagg also stood out with 19 points for Dallas, who is looking to secure a playoff spot.
By Houston, Kevin Durant led the offense with 27 points.
