Cleveland Guardians Dominate Yankees in the Bronx
The Cleveland Guardians showcased their prowess at Yankee Stadium, securing a decisive 4-0 victory over the New York Yankees on Wednesday, June 4th. The visiting team deployed an effective offense and solid pitching, sealing the triumph from the early innings.
Dominican Ángel Martínez was key at the start of the game, hitting a two-run home run in the first inning. His compatriot, Luis Ortiz, also shone on the mound, delivering a dominant performance that kept the Yankees’ offense at bay for much of the game.
The Guardians built their lead quickly, scoring three runs in the first inning. Kyle Manzardo added a solo home run in the eighth, securing the victory.
This victory ends a losing streak for Cleveland, marking their third win in the last 11 regular season games in the Bronx.

In addition, he achieved seven strikeouts, demonstrating his ability to control the New York batters. This is his first victory since April 18th.Angel Martinez hit a home run against Clarke Schmidt, the Yankees’ starter, who allowed three runs in the first inning. Jose Ramirez, also Dominican, hit a double in the same inning, extending his on-base streak to 30 consecutive games. Daniel Schneeman drove in a run with a double.
