Port St. Lucie, Florida. Manager Gilbert Gómez has confirmed his continuity at the helm of the Tigres del Licey, highlighting his commitment to the organization and the ambition to compete again for the championship. Ratified in February as manager of the blue team, Gómez assured that his permanence was always part of the plans after the previous season. That was always the plan. My commitment to the franchise is quite high. We have unfinished business to take care of. The young leader, known for being the youngest to win a title in the LIDOM, acknowledges the challenges presented by the upcoming tournament, but remains optimistic.

We know that next season will be full of challenges and competition. I am very happy to continue leading the group and excited about what lies ahead.

Parallel to this, Gómez begins a new stage in his career by joining the Mets’ staff as a first base and infield coach, after almost a decade in the organization. When the first game at Citi Field arrives, I will be able to describe what it means to be in the Major Leagues. I am learning a lot and very happy with this opportunity.
