Gigantes del Cibao Reveals Pitching Rotation for the Round Robin
San Francisco de Macorís – The manager of the Gigantes del Cibao, José Leger, has announced the starting pitcher rotation for the first three games of the round-robin phase. The team’s strategy focuses on the experience of its pitchers to face this crucial stage of the tournament.
Leger confirmed that right-hander Shane Greene will be in charge of opening the first game. The Giants will face the Toros del Este on Saturday, December 27 at the Francisco A. Micheli stadium in La Romana, starting at 7:30 pm.
For the second game, scheduled for Sunday the 28th, the Giants will play at the Julián Javier stadium. The left-hander Steve Moyers will go up to the mound to face the Águilas Cibaeñas. This match is scheduled for 5:00 in the afternoon.
The rotation will continue on Monday the 29th, again at the Julián Javier stadium, with right-hander Daniel Mengden as the starting pitcher against the Leones del Escogido. The game will start at 7:30 at night.
After the December 30th game day, the Dominican Professional Baseball League will take its traditional New Year’s break. The action of the Round Robin will resume on January 2, 2026.
With this rotation, José Leger and the Gigantes del Cibao seek to establish a good rhythm in this semifinal phase of the championship.
