San Francisco de Macorís – The Gigantes del Cibao have announced the incorporation of six new imported players, who are already in the country and ready to debut in the current season of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

These additions significantly bolster the pitching staff, defense, and depth of the Francomacorisano team at a crucial point in the season.

New Reinforcements

The group of imported players is made up of pitchers Tayron Guerrero, Blake Weiman, Aidan Anderson and Jimmy Burnette, along with catcher Kenny Piper and versatile infielder Jordan Díaz.

Player Profiles

  • Kenny Piper – Catcher (USA): 27-year-old catcher belonging to the Tampa Bay organization. He stands out for his solid defense and strong arm. In 2025, between AA and AAA, he batted .188, with 9 home runs, 30 RBIs, 10 stolen bases, and an OPS of .648.

  • Aidan Anderson – Relief Pitcher (USA): 28-year-old right-hander who pitched 33 games in 2025 with a 6–2 record and an ERA of 3.72. At the minor league level, he has 194 appearances with a WHIP of 1.32.
  • Jimmy Burnette – Left-handed Relief Pitcher (USA): 27-year-old lefty, native of Chicago. In 2025, he saw action in 35 games between AA, Mexico, and the Atlantic League, compiling a 3–3 record, 2 saves, an ERA of 2.05, 43 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.11.
