SANTO DOMINGO, RD. – The iconic “flow jacket”, emblem of the Dominican selection in the 2026 World Baseball Classic, has been put up for auction by Major League Baseball (MLB). The article, which has become a symbol of the Dominican team’s celebration, has generated great interest among fans and collectors. In the first hours of the auction, the garment reached a bid of $5,510, after receiving 74 offers. The jacket was authenticated by its use in the semi-final on March 15 against the United States. One of the most memorable moments was when Junior Caminero hit a home run against Nicaragua, unleashing euphoria and being received with the emblematic jacket by figures like Manny Machado, Julio Rodríguez, and Oneil Cruz. The initiative was inspired by Major League Baseball trends, such as the celebration jacket of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2025 postseason. The Dominican team took the idea to another level, incorporating cultural elements such as a weight decorated with bananas and a chain, highlighting pride and national identity.

“Create an environment of integration, where players have fun and don’t feel the game so rigid”

Gregory Castro, social media manager of the team.
More than a simple garment, the “flow jacket” became a symbol of unity, culture, and energy within the Dominican team, leaving an indelible mark on this edition of the tournament. Now, with its auction underway, the piece seeks to continue making history off the field.
