SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – The Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal) has revealed the men’s national basketball pre-selection, composed of 24 players, who are preparing for the First Qualifying Window towards the Qatar 2027 Basketball World Cup. From this group, the athletes who will participate in the official training sessions will be selected and, subsequently, the 12 players who will represent the country in international commitments.

Technical Leadership
The Dominican team will be led by Argentine coach Néstor “Ché” García, who will have the support of assistants David Díaz, Abraham Disla and Sergio Jiménez, also from Argentina. The announcement was made by Junior Páez (Jipy), vice president of Fedombal and general manager of the team, who was accompanied by Carlos De León, director of Operations; Adenhaweer Díaz (Rilling), physical trainer; and Dr. Gewill Acosta, team doctor.Featured Call-ups

Calendar of the First Window
The Dominican team will face Mexico on Friday the 28th of this month, at the Marcelino González Gymnasium in Zacatecas, at 8:40 p.m. (10:40 p.m. Dominican time). The second match will be on Monday, December 1st, playing at home in the Ricardo Gioriber Arias Volleyball Palace, of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center. The Quisqueyan team is part of Group A, along with the United States, Mexico, and Nicaragua, in a qualifying process that will award seven places for the 2027 World Cup. The match against the United States is scheduled for the Third Window, on July 3, 2026, at the renovated Virgilio Travieso Soto Sports Palace.Distribution of Groups in the Americas
