FEDOBAD Defines Strategies for Dominican Badminton
Santo Domingo, D.R. – The executive committee of the Dominican Badminton Federation (FEDOBAD) held its first meeting of the year, focusing on the plans and key projects for the preparation of the national team. The main objective is participation in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Sports Games Santo Domingo 2026, in addition to the organization and participation in three international events to be held in the country this year. During the meeting, various crucial aspects for the development of badminton were analyzed. These included the competitive calendar, training programs, and strategies to improve the technical performance of the athletes. Likewise, initiatives to promote and expand badminton nationally were discussed, with a particular focus on the identification and training of new talents, and the strengthening of provincial associations. In the agenda, FEDOBAD received the International Technical Director of Badminton for the upcoming Central American and Caribbean Games, Orlando Cala Martínez. Technical and planning aspects related to the Games were coordinated, which are a key event in the development plan of Dominican badminton.FEDOBAD reaffirmed its commitment to the sustained growth of badminton in the Dominican Republic, betting on comprehensive planning that combines high performance with development programs at the national level, in view of a year full of important sporting challenges.
